Personal TrainerThe Personal Trainer has overall responsibility for promoting, selling, implementing and practicing the programs, policies, and procedures pertaining to the Personal Training Department.
Duties
- Maintaining and generating clientele internally and externally with good intentions
- Performing detailed nutritional recommendations that are congruent with clientele goals and aspirations
- Present a healthy lifestyle and fitness professionalism at all times
- Have a thorough understanding of overall club systems and operations and enforce procedures and policies
- Maintains all certifications, C.P.R. and insurance to current status
- Maintains a professional view on all current trends and products regarding the technical aspect of fitness
- Maintains 2 week schedule of availability in Master Appointment Book
- Assumes responsibility to be full time and work as such.
- Participates in all meetings and trainings that require the presence of a Personal Trainer, deemed by Fitness Manager
- Overall duties will be performed with a scientific mind and practice; regarding professional/ethical intentions
- Any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Shows up to work in company uniform
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Working knowledge of basic computer skills
- Ability to lift 45 lbs. Correctly, safely, and repeatedly
- Ability to design a basic program that includes cardiovascular and resistance protocols for a 6 – 10 week time frame
Prerequisites for this position:
- A current certification that is nationally recognized in the “Personal Trainer” or “Fitness Trainer” or “Nutrition” category
CPR Certification - Successfully design 6 week protocol with the five components
- Must shadow 3 appointments of Training.
- Must read and understand Personal Trainer Compensation Plan and Job Description
- Must present personal resume
- Must understand all basic biological systems of the human body
